Oklahoma City · Proposed Opening Fall 2028

WildMontessori

A proposed tuition-free public Montessori school in Oklahoma City, beginning with Pre-K and Kindergarten in Fall 2028.

Wild in curiosity. Grounded in purpose. Rooted in structure. Open to possibility.

Seven commitments

Children are known deeply, and trusted with meaningful work.

These seven commitments are what make that real in a Wild classroom — the standards we hold to, every day, for every child.

  1. Prepared educators

Educators prepared through Montessori training, Oklahoma certification, and ongoing support toward credentials from MACTE-recognized programs.

  2. Montessori materials

Real objects children hold, so ideas move from the hand to the mind.

  3. Prepared environments

Rooms built for independence, movement, concentration, and care.

  4. Protected time

Long, uninterrupted work blocks — so deep concentration has room to happen.

  5. Multi-age communities

Mixed-age classrooms where children learn from each other and grow into leaders.

  6. Child-directed work

Meaningful choice from a prepared range of work, guided by observation.

  7. Responsive guidance

Teachers watch closely, and meet each child exactly where they are.

Portrait of the learner

Children prepared to meet the world with focus, agency, knowledge, and care.

Six capacities every child practices here — tap any circle to explore each one.

Focus

Long, unhurried work cycles — deep enough to lose track of time, and finish what you started.

Agency

Children choose their own work, ask for the lesson they need, and follow curiosity somewhere real.

Order

A place for everything, and a rhythm children can count on — inside the room, and inside themselves.

Adaptability

The materials show children their own mistakes. They notice, adjust, and try it again.

Regulation

Pausing, listening, taking turns, and caring for the room and the people in it.

Academic foundations

Reading, writing, mathematics, science — learned by hand first, aligned to Oklahoma standards.
